Recommendations for Use:

If switching a vehicle that has used petroleum oil for the past 15 to 20,000 miles or more, an engine flush is recommended. This will help clean out any sludge and deposits that may be in the engine, giving you a fresh start for your new premium synthetic oil.

Any filter can be used with AMSOIL 10w30 synthetic oil, but oil filters not designed for extended change intervals should be changed every 3 to 4 months or every 5,000 miles (whichever comes first). The oil will still be good for the full 25,000 miles.

At each filter change you'll need to top off the system with oil. So, consider not only the cost of the filter, but also the cost of the oil you'll have to replace which is lost at each filter change.
